REGISTRATIONS FOR CGTV HAVE NOW CLOSED
Teams of students from schools across Victoria are being trained in television production skills to create short programs for CGTV (Commonwealth Games Television). CGTV will be packaged as a three DVD set that will be distributed to all Victorian schools after the Games.

CGTV crews have been shooting programs about Commonwealth nations, sports and disciplines of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, as well as local community stories and sporting heroes.

Progress Report

Registrations have closed for this project.

CGTV crews have participated in training days in regional and metropolitan centres to improve their television, production and interview skills and techniques. Students completed pre-production and production tasks by interviewing athletes and local government and community representatives involved with Commonwealth Games activities.

CGTV crews are now finalising their programs for the DVD. Six schools will be working in the Department of Education and Training studio in East Melbourne during Term 1, 2006 to shoot and complete their final tasks.

This project is only open to Victorian schools.
