Feature School: Mill Park Heights Primary School

12 January, 2006

Four Victorian schools, including Mill Park Heights Primary School, were invited to produce sculpture artworks for up to 40 vision impaired EAD athletes and officials attending the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games.

The students from Mill Park Heights Primary School have created some wonderful pieces of artwork ranging from a seeing eye dog leash through to a Kookaburra key holder. Some examples of the students working on their Art4Athlete gifts can be viewed in the images below.

The artworks have been created in addition to the 2-dimensional paper artworks that every athlete and official will receive in March. The tactile artworks have been specially designed and created by each student for vision impaired athletes to enjoy.
